First let me start off by saying that I am truly sorry for not getting you guys hip to Day Pesos sooner, I have been meaning to do an artist feature on him for the longest but somehow have always forgotten. This week I made sure to get this feature completed by any means necessary because the people NEED to know about this guy.
Day Pesos is a South Jamaica Queens native and back in July he dropped his debut mixtape, Tunnel Vision, and when I tell you that I was pleasantly surprised, that's an understatement. I wasn't in anyway expecting the tape to be bad, I was just shocked at the lyricism, production, and the realness of the whole project. It's not very often that I can listen to somebody's music and think "okay I can see that being your life" or "wow I really feel where he's coming from" and that's exactly what I felt as I listened.
I feel a lot of authenticity in Day's music and that's why I love his music so much. It's not often you can really listen to somebody's music and really believe in their passion for their craft.
A lot of times nigga's like to mimic other popular sounds and try to make it their own but with This guy his music is really all him and you'll get what i'm saying when you finish the tape.
