Did our Presidential Candidates just have…a Twitter Beef?

I understand that our two presidential candidates are both rich white people, so maybe they don't listen to hip hop. However, surely by now, based off of Drake's extreme success, even if they haven't heard the "Twitter Fingers" bar Drake dropped - the one that rendered Meek Mill unable to use Twitter for months - themselves, that someone around these candidates has and has told them what it meant. If not, well then someone might wanna tell them because they are embarrassing themselves..

If you haven't seen it yet, something very unexpected and odd occurred on Twitter: Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump engaged in a Twitter beef. Yes...a Twitter beef that includes the two presumptive nominees from both the Democratic and Republican parties, the two people who have the highest chance of being the next President of the United States—a small part of me is hoping the Independent pull an upset. Let's take a look at what occurred...

First Trump sent a shot towards Hillary

Then Hillary fired back with this...

And Trump ended it with this...

Now, I understand that getting the younger generation involved in politics and targeting us through social media is a great tactic. I get it, I really do, but arguing on Twitter probably isn't the best way to go about this. We all aren't easily entertained kids that can be consumed with childish tactics like this one. Some of us want to our presidential candidates acting professional and focusing on what matters the most, fixing America and helping the people out with a quality plan.

When I saw Hillary and Trump stooping to this level, I was insulted. How could they stoop to such a level and think that my peers would find it amusing? Sadly, some of us were entertained by this. Perhaps most of us are and that's why this conflict occurred on Twitter. Presidential elections having been steadily moving away from focusing on the issues, to primarily being concerned with how entertaining a candidate is and how interesting their personality is. This election is only getting worse, with what was already a disappointing election, is now becoming unbearable. Twitter had a mixed reaction to this beef...

After seeing the amount of people actually finding their exchange amusing, I began to wonder if their tactic was a success. What do you think, are our presidential candidates acting childish or was this a good way to target the younger generation?
